Aesthetics models assist at the Monteplier Club, London

Wednesday, May 11th, 2011

On Thursday 5th May, Aesthetics placed a trio of hostesses to meet and greet the guests at the Oval Cricket Club, London.  The pre-match drinks reception was held in the Monteplier Club, which has been prominent in English cricket from 1796 and has many competitors such as Marylebone Cricket Club and many other leading city clubs. The cricket club itself is based at George Arams new ground in Monteplier Gardens, also known as a ‘first class’ venue.  The Aesthetics trio were on hand to escort the guests around the Monteplier Club assisting with any queries, helping to serve champagne and to generally keep the guests happy.  It is always a delight knowing that Aesthetics staff work to the high standards expected by our clients and the agency, the event was a resounding success.

Watch out! Aesthetics have a new innovative look for our website coming soon!

Monday, May 2nd, 2011

As one of the leading international agency’s within the events industry it is imperative that we keep coming up with innovative ways to portray how we are seen within the industry in which we operate. For almost a year we have been implementing ways to set us aside from other agencies. Most potential clients and people that may want to join Aesthetics initially refer to our r to get a feel for what we do therefore, it is crucial that the first interaction with Aesthetics Events Ltd has a lasting impression. Our Managing Director, Lee Thomas, had a certain vision and specific look that she was aiming for our website. Lee’s idea was for the website to be interactive and have live presenters help guide onlookers through the content. There has been months and months of preparations to ensure that various elements come together to help get the new look right.

Firstly, at Aesthetics we always want our clients to feel that the Aesthetics team are an extension of their own business. Therefore, we feel it is important that our clients can get a feel for who will be handling their events within the admin team. So Lee drafted in professional photographers from The Modelcamp, Gary Payne and Lewis Jordan (www.themodelcamp.com) and makeup artist Rebecca to pamper each member of the staff. Every member of the Aesthetics team was also asked to complete a bio of interesting facts regarding themselves.

The next major task was to start thinking about how we could bring the website to life so we started to audition for presenters that would appear on various sections of the website. After castings had taken place our final five were chosen to appear, Hare Dhami, Crystal Bates, Hilary Shaw, Catherine Vickers and Stacey Ellis. The idea is for our presenters to be able to engage with potential clients and people who may want to become involved with Aesthetics. Once the presenters were chosen we had the task of selecting the videographer, costumes, makeup artist, scripts and a venue.  We decided to use a local venue The Herbert Art and Museum Gallery (http://www.theherbert.org/) to film our presenters and the videographer we used was Simon Wellman from Herbert Media, part of the Coventry Heritage & Arts Trust. They supplied the location, equipment and expertise to shoot the green screen elements for the Aesthetics website.  The shoot utilized Panasonic HD cameras to provide the best possible results when keying out the models from the background.

This is the first time Aesthetics have filmed their own video shoot and let’s just say the day was full of excitement and commotion from the moment everyone arrived. There was a real buzz in the air! First task was getting the girls through hair and makeup while in the other room everything was getting setup. Offering their services for the day was Kirsty Wilkins from the Aesthetics office, (Marketing and Sales) and John Tanner from One-Marketing-Strategy (www.one-marketing-strategy.com ) who both played crucial roles for the day. John coached the presenters by helping them to go through their lines and filming various activities that happened throughout the day to help promote our website. Kirsty had the responsibility of assisting with choosing outfits, organising the presenters to film their segment and helping to make changes where needed.

Overall the day was a truly enjoyable new experience and a complete success for everyone involved. The footage that we captured will look amazing and the presenters were fantastic with each of their performances.   Thank you to everyone involved with making this a memorable day for Aesthetics Events Ltd!

However, accepting the award on behalf of Lee was our Operations Director, Keri Doherty. Keri commented, ‘It was an honour excepting this award on behalf of Lee. She has worked incredibly hard over the years ensuring we continue to grow as a business’

This is an outstanding achievement for Lee, as the FirstPro awards helps to celebrate the skills and expertise of professionals in Coventry and Warwickshire. Aesthetics assist with the launch event of a New ‘David Hayton’ Peugeot Dealership

Wednesday, February 16th, 2011

Our attractive hostess joined the celebrations for the reopening of a brand new ‘blue box’ Peugeot dealership. Over 1500 invites were sent out to local customers with a further 250 delegate expected to attend the evening event.  Our Peugeot trained Aesthetics hostess played an important part throughout the evening. Not only did she divulge product information but she also had responsibility to ensure that the event ran smoothly from start to finish. The evening commenced at the reception desk where guests registered; once completed their form was placed straight into the tombola for the prize draw. The main focus of the evening was to also manage the prize pod, a pod that guests could step into where tickets would fly for 30 seconds.  Having to grab as many tickets as possible before the final whistle blew, only pink tickets collected were classed as winners.  Gifts included an annual service, luxury hamper and an RCZ for the weekend.  Our Aesthetics hostess was responsible for counting and recording how many pink tickets each person had in order to select the winners.  The evening closed with handing out goody bags to guests as they left.

From a coffee with a Polar Explorer to a ride in a 16 seater hummer

Monday, November 15th, 2010

After spending time on various business link courses including this weeks ‘blog your way to sucess’ I have been persuaded to start my own weekly blog to keep everyone updated on what I actually get up to.  This week has seen various quotations and proposals for events combined with my usual evening study groups as part of my part-time degree at Coventry University.  I have to admit the highlight of my week was meeting with Mark Wood from Coventry who is a ‘Polar Explorer’.  Mark is also an ambassador of Coventry (as am I) and our quick chat over coffee ended up lasting for 3 hours.  Wow that guy is so interesting, check him out on www.markwoodexplorer.com.  After a busy week it was fantastic to join Julie Gibson a former Aesthetics GM account manager celebrate her birthday on Friday evening at the opening of Coventry’s newest bar ‘Escape’ followed by a greatly appreciated bottle of complimentary champagne from Tony Carey owner of our favourite Coventry night club www.careys.co.uk where we danced the night away .  Saturday was a much needed day of rest with my children followed by a lovely dinner at Ego Mediterranean restaurant.  Sunday was much more active with a day of shopping at Bicester Village whilst my husband cooked us a lovely roast dinner.  I have to say the funniest part of my week was the ride from the lunch venue on Friday to the city centre bar in Julies 16 seater hummer, check out her fantastic range of chauffeur driven cars out at www.american-limousine-company.co.uk
